UK residency with 200k investment

Hello There,


I would appreciate if someone knowledgable could please answer my questions.

My brother (India citizen but New Zealand resident, will have NZ citizenship in 2012) wants to buy property in the UK.

What is the minimum amount he must spend in property to be entiled to residency rights in the uk, will he be entitled to any kind of residency rights at all?

IS there anyway he can get UK residency by investing around 200k?

buying a house isn't investment. the HO wants to know if you are able to invest in some kind of business.
