H1B: Issue date & Entrance Date?

Hi,

I have got my H1B visa into my pass with an issue date as 08AUG2006.

I know I will start to work at 1st October. But my question is like that:

Can I enter into USA at 1st September by using my new H1B visa?

There are different ideas from different resources. Some says that anytime after issue date I can enter USA but the others says 10 days before 1st October I can enter USA.

I also called US Embassy and they said there is not any restrictions for enterenca date. The only important thing is that I can start to work at 1st October.

Please help! I will buy my tickets and I want to be sure.
