Tier 2-Employee Sponsored Visa Application

I am working for an MNC in India and have applied for my UK Work permit -visa through my employer.My earlier Work Permit -visa elapsed and i am applying for a Fresh WP(Intra Company Transfere).In the VAF-09 form filled online i didnot input the NI number.(though i have been assigned a one already)

Will this affect my visa approval.How mandatory is NI number column to be filled in the application form.

PLease someone advise on this.
