Nice job!!nshar1 wrote:I get fed up with the recruiters. There is more nuisance than help in job search.
UK job market has become too inefficient. Employers keep complaining that there is not good enough talent while job-seekers struggle to get to interviews.
I think direct applications to companies could be worth a try. There is no reason that these middlemen should be there.
Could we start posting links to companies web sites where CVs can be submitted.
Agreed, you should not limit your job search direct applications only. Your chances of securing an interview is a bit more likely, but my experience with the two companies were that they were quite bad in knowing the type of candidate they wanted and pre-screening their candidates. I ended up with one extremely technical interview asking me about code, but I'm not a programmer and don't have this on my CV.rajesh9pl wrote:Its really good, appreciate your effort.
Having a section for Careers is good. But, I think most of the companies take services of Job Consultant to find cadidates.
Rajesh - thats not true...60% of the recruitment in UK still happens through other channels...key among them is referrals.rajesh9pl wrote:Its really good, appreciate your effort.

Agreed...but direct recruitment is a good channel which cannot be ignored.mulderpf wrote:

There are candidates who refuse reference checks and do not want to supply references or have no references.republique wrote:That is a wasted of a line. So what. Either way, it is not worth space lost to put on the CV your references are available.mulderpf wrote:There are candidates who refuse reference checks and do not want to supply references or have no references.republique wrote:That is a wasted of a line. Agree with republique - whether you have references to give now or later or dont have any at all, it's a very childish thing to put on your CV and a waste of space. It's very easy to even get 'fake' references so really not a big concern to any firm these days......mulderpf wrote:There are candidates who refuse reference checks and do not want to supply references or have no references.republique wrote:That is a wasted of a line.
