Tier 1 General Extension in Person

Hi

My wife's Tier1 visa is due for extension on 22nd September 2011. We decided to use in-person service as we wanted to get it done quickly as it will used for mortgage application.

1. Can we use in-person when we have about 1 month left before expiry?
2. Is biometric residence permit needs to be done before going for in-person appointment or can be done with the same Tier1 appointment?

You can apply in person and the biometrics will be taken at the same appointment when you go for application. As for the timing is - you will need to check on the website what date you can get. I think the dates do fill up very quickly for in person application.
