I am a work permit holder(stamp1).have been on it for nearly 2 years.I came to Ireland from China in 1999.and had a baby girl in 2007.Just wondering in my case what should do to get my kid citizenship?Now she is going to school next month. And we realy want to settle down after all these years.now I am willing to apply for next work permit for 3 years.I know that after another 3 years I can apply for citizenship but what should I do about my family ?Do I just have to hold on for another 3 years?And what should I do then?

can you plz clearlify when you arrived to ireland what was your status and how long you and your partner are together .is she hold any immigration status in ireland if yes what is her current status and your status.good luck

I came to Ireland in 1999 on a student visa.And I got a work permit late 2008.my wife came over in 2002 as a student and she is a work permit holder too.we got married in 2008

Just saying at the time my child was born.I didn't have anything but only student visa.I got my work premit one year after.So can I apply for the kid by the time when I get 3yr work permit? Or do I have to wait to 5yr before I can apply.

you can apply for naturalisation on behalf of you child when your child is 5 years (5 years living in the state from the birth). you can apply before your own naturalistion application comes through if she was born in ireland
