Myself and my gf applied In June. Together for 3 years, met in Ireland in 2008 and have been visiting each other in USA and Ireland several times since and she has moved over to me in May this year..
We were in contact with INIS before describing our scenario i.e. long distance and not living together at that time, and they stated that they have no check boxes or exact criteria for difference types of evidence. All they are looking for is evidence of a sustainable relationship for 2 years or more.
But you have to be in the country to apply, and I said she was planning on moving over to me in May, so they recommended her to state her intentions when going through immigration/customs in the airport and to report to a local immigration officer there-after who extended her stay by 90 days to facilitate her application. So my GF moved over on a visitor waiver to me, we got both our names on bill, and joint bank account as proof of living together.
What we sent in was:
- photocopies of each others passports
- both our bank statements, my Irish and her own one
- evidence of my pay slips and/employment
- evidence of her previous employment record
- joint bank account in Ireland and statement
- photos, itenaries, facebook records, emails, chat histories etc.. (some from facebook also showing dates, It was INIS that recommended that one.)
- letter from landlord confirming her living with me
- both our names on an a bill.
- cover letter
- letter of intent
- one wedding invitation
- letter reply from INIS to my previous query where I stated our situation and what they advised us to do/collect.
- evidence of her medical insurance
We are still waiting for a reply.
