Query on family visitor visa

Post by kk76 » Thu Jul 21, 2011 11:44 pm

Hi group,

I am planning to apply visitor visa for my parents from India. Few clarifications required before application

1) I live in a one bed house with my wife ( one bedroom, one living room, Spam, bathroom). Will it be an issue if I sponsor my mom and dad, even though my tenancy agreement does not mention about single bed house.

2) My 6 months tenancy agreement comes to an end next month, should I renew this and apply or can I apply with the current one? Is there any time period required in the tenancy agreement?

3) should I get a NOC from land lord or letting agency for extra person to stay?

Much appreciate your suggestions.

You can use the living room as a bedroom if you want, but you are going to have one cramped little house with no privacy at all in this case

You must have a minimum of 6 months TA to show that when your parents are issued a visa , that there is somewhere available for them to stay

Might be a good idea to let him know what you intend, however if he agrees to let your parents stay, but is not willing to put it in witting, then don't worry. Its not obligatory for you to do that.
Much appreciate your suggestions.

Thank you for immediate response.

Only one of my parent would come at one time to look after our baby. Just applying at the same time.

One more query, my mom property in India is in local language, should that be translated in English and apply with original documents?

Many thanks

Be extremely careful about making statements like this: the UKBA is likely to interpret "to look after our baby" as confirmation that the applicant will be providing childcare and thus intends to work in the UK.
