Tier 2 Entry Clearance maximum entry validity

Hi,
Is there a specific period in which one has to enter UK after Tier 2 visa is stamped or does it depend upon employer-employee mutual consent?

if your work requires to be in uk, and you have a tier 2 visa... then noone can deny you entry purely on the basis that u have been outside uk for x months
