Non EEA students married

Hi,

My friend loves a girl. They both lived in Pakistan. But due to their family ties, they are not allowed to even meet each other. My friend decided to come to UK for study. After 6 months his love also joins him in UK.

They are now both married and their parent know this. Now they have been told that if they come back, they might lose thier lifes. The rift has already been strated between the two families in Pakistan and a dozen of people from both the familes are in Hospital.

Now my friend's visa is about to expire in end of September. His wifes visa will exprie in a year time. Now if he goes back alone or with his wife. There is great chance that they will never see the sun again.

Now, is there a chance that they can apply for an asylum here? under humanantarian grounds. They thought that after marriage everything will be sorted. However, the result is totally opposite to what they thought.

Need advise...
