Personalised Employment Pass
A flexible option

The Personalised Employment Pass (PEP) is a scheme that gives foreigners working here the benefits of an EP without being restricted to a single company in Singapore.

Currently, the issuance of an EP is linked to a specific employer and a change of employment requires a fresh application. Without an EP, you would have to seek alternative employment in order to continue living in Singapore.

According to the Manpower Ministry, the following groups of EP holders are eligible for a PEP if they had earned a fixed salary of at least SGD$30,000 in the preceding year:

• P1 and P2 Pass holders with at least two years' work experience on a P Pass;

• Q1 Pass holders with at least five years' work experience on a Q1 pass; and

• Foreign graduates from recognized Institutions of Higher Learning in Singapore with at least two years' work experience on a P or Q1 Pass.

The Manpower Ministry is flexible in considering individual cases that do not meet the minimum criteria but merit the issuance of the PEP. The PEP is valid for five years, is non-renewable and requires you to earn a minimum annual fixed salary of SGD$30,000. It will grant you up to six months to consider other employment options in Singapore.

You can apply online .

S Pass
For the technically adept

For those of you who are technically-skilled, such as technicians, you can apply for an S pass.

S Pass applicants are assessed using a points system that takes into consideration their salary, qualifications, skills, work experience and job type.

You must have at least a degree or a diploma and/or technical qualifications to qualify, as a technician or specialist in your field.

While a minimum fixed monthly salary of SGD$1,800 is required, a salary of more than SGD$2,500 would allow you dependant privileges as well.

EntrePass
For the entrepreneur in you

If you are looking to start a new business in Singapore and will be actively involved in its operations, an EntrePass is an option for you.

The EntrePass has an initial validity of two years and holders will be allowed to bring their immediate family with them to Singapore.

Training Employment Pass

Picking up a skill or two

Should you undergo practical training attachments here for professional, managerial, executive or specialist jobs in Singapore, a Training Employment Pass will be needed.

You must either be:

· an undergraduate in Singapore, undergoing a training attachment as part of your degree programme from a recognised educational institution, or

· a trainee from a foreign office/subsidiary and here on a professional or executive training stint. These intra-company trainees should hold a degree or diploma.

A minimum fixed monthly salary of more than SGD$2,500 is required.
