Successfull Zambrano Case

Post by in8214 » Mon Aug 15, 2011 9:23 pm

Hi There,

Just register successfully using Zambrano case. My stamp was already 4 but my wife's changed from 3 to 4. She doesn't require work permit any more.

The motive of this post to let other's know about my experience.

Before you go and register at the Immigration office.

You need following.

1. Child's Passport (Irish) and Long Form Birth Cert.
2. Child's GP letter with child name and address on it and simple line saying that Child is register with GP.
3. Child should be present
4. Affidavit form (which I got from the immigration counter a day earlier i don't know where to get it from internet).
5. Form basically says you will abide by the law of state, raise your child, no involment in criminal activity etc. Don't sign the form they require you to sign at the counter infront of them.
6. Parents Passport
7. Parents GARDA Card
8. Parents proof of address. Only Utilty bills and Bank statement of you and your wife is acceptable. make sure you have them and it shows you wife name or joint a/c details as well.
9. If your wife is on stamp 3 then GP letter with wife name and address on it and simple line saying that wife is register with GP.
10. Green card permit if you have it (I was on GC so I produce it to them).
11. Marriage cert ( though they didn't ask but just in case)
12. Card for payment
13. If all is fine then you/your wife will be issued stamp 4 for 3 yrs.

thanks for your information,
I am in Northern Ireland on uk work visa with Irish citizen child. Do you think I can apply under Zambrano case in Ireland?
can you tell us your application processing time?

I'm afraid not, as you are not resident in Ireland.

However, how old is your child and how long how you lived in the UK?

I have one-year-old child. I spent 6 years in Northern Ireland on UK employment visa. But there is a few months gap, which breaks my 5 years continuity for UK’s ILR.

If you stay as you are for another 4 years, you will have been resident in the UK for 5 years as the parent of an EU national child, meaning that you will acquire the right of permanent residence.
