Helpline suspension for Visa queries

Post by g343435 » Tue Aug 16, 2011 4:35 pm

Awaiting a visa decision for nearly two months now. Now it appears the phone helpline is suspended.

Anyone know if spousal visas for a non EU person married to an Irish is taking much longer than the six weeks stated?

Perhaps the summer season has resulted in low headcount in the immigration office dealing with processing visas..

Success!

Got our spousal visa today.

For anyone interested, we were waiting 13 weeks.

There appears to be a backlog at the visa office.
