Post by pennylessinindia » Sun Aug 20, 2006 6:54 pm

Hi
I am Brit born and bred married in the uk to an Indian and now living in India.

In a year we will have been married 4 years and may consider going to the uk for some time 5 - 10 years!!

I have a mortgage in the UK. But no job and earn a little wage here in India.

I am worrried that money may be an issue for the ILE

Thoughts help please

If you have a mortgage, how are the mortgage repayments and interest being paid?

At present I let the place out so at the moment that is covered.

Would I have to go back on my own and wait 6 months and then apply with a job. It seems quite complicated and it seems so unfair if the finances end up stopping us moving together.

I always feel it seems very unfair to expect those married to foreigners to
show so much income when anyone else just gets married and no one bothers - ah well enough of my rant

You seem a wizz on this subject so would love any more help insight
