Married in US, Can US Husband visit UK

Hi Everybody

I am a UK citizen marrying a US Citizen in the US next month. My husband to be would like to return to the UK for 3 weeks for celebrations with my family after the marriage and then return to the US to apply for his spousal visa.

He currently has 5 months remaining on his 2 year visa and I was wondering if the fact that we got married in the US will affect him coming to visit as normal on his 2 year visa.

Can anyone advise?

Why does he have a 2 year visa?

why type of visa does he have currently - do you mean a two year multiple entry visit visa?

He has a 2 year multiple entry visit visa because he spends 6 months out of the year here in the UK.

He'll be ok for another visit. He should just answer any questions honestly when he arrives. As long as his plans are clear he shouldn't have any trouble.
