my mother has applied for UK visit visa for 3months alongwith my younger brother from Pakistan.but she got her visa refused by giving the reason that u hav not provided the appropriate evidence of income and funds.after that, we made an appeal against the ECO decision by providing evidences and supporting documents.it has been 3weeks.but the problem is i have my first preganancy which is due on 24th aug 2011.and i want my mother over here asap.i've faxed nd mailed this issue to tribunal as well.i heard that appeal usually takes too much time.but i dun hav that much time.so should i re-apply for my mother?any advice plz

to re-apply for my mother's visa, do i need to withdraw my appeal? do i need to mention about her previous refusal in new application?
and after re-apply, how long it will take to get the decision?

I would guess that another application will take a similar time as with the initial applications.

Dear Madam
Thank you for your e-mail, dated 15th August 2011. A call-in letter was sent to your mother on 10th August 2011. To date she not presented her passport as requested.
Thank you, and regards,
Jillian Potgieter
i've recieved this mail from ABU DHABI embassy today in response of my mail that i have an urgency. what does it mean? my mom won her case? if so, what would she need to do now? because she didn't receive any kind of call letter yet and she already re-applied for the visa again.

This call letter means they are willing to grant your mother a visa and they are asking that she hand in her passport to Fedex Office in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi or wherever else she applied from.

But she didn't receive any kind of letter yet. And she already sent her passport for re-applying. Now, what do u think? would ECO again process her case as a fresh case or just send back her passport with entry clearance visa?

sid24,
a call-in letter means that she has been granted a visa so you need to submit the passport.
I was a sponsor of similar situation (not pregnant) and took me more than one year to get visitor visas. I will be posting my experience soon.
How are you getting on sid24?

ukvisasucks,
hi there,
UK visa really sucks!! my mother still didn't receive a letter but Abu Dhabi embassy mailed me that letter as well. But due to the urgency she has withdrawn her appeal and re-applied for a visa as a fresh case. Now let's see what happen..whenever we receive the decision i'll update it

My mother was refused a visit visa in '07 and though it took about 6 months for our appeal to be heard, we won the case and the visa was ready to be issued as soon as my mother could get to the embassy to present her passport.
Too late now, but your mother should have presented her passport for stamping (even though she didn't receive the call-in letter, the embassy confirmed one was issued). Would've been quicker than reapplying...
