last port of entry before applying for PSW

Post by acs623 » Mon Aug 22, 2011 10:44 pm

Hi,

I'm finishing up my course next month then travelling home for a bit and I'm planning on travelling to Ireland to visit a friend on my way back to the UK from the US in October. I've checked the rules and I've been told that it's fine for me to enter the UK this way as long as my student visa is still valid (which it is). I just wondered if this would be a problem for my PSW visa application? Are they going to refuse my application because although I'm clearly in the UK, the last stamp in my passport is from Ireland? Or would they even check that/does that matter? I am starting to panic a little as I've already got my trip booked and I don't know what to do.

Thanks in advance for your help!
