BC for Family - Help Pl

Post by CoolSaint » Tue Aug 23, 2011 9:41 pm

My self, My wife and My elder daughter have got ILR last year. My younger daughter was born (After we got ILR) in India and applied for settlement visa now. Planning to apply for British passport for Myself and my daughters.

I am eligible for naturalisation now. Pl advise which options to take ?.
I believe , I don’t need any naturalization for my daughters (Under 18’s).

Option - 1) Apply for Naturalisation Now and Once my daughters are back , Apply for the passports.
Option -2) Apply for Naturalisation and get a British Passport for my self. Then Apply for British passports for my daughters.

Help Pl ?

Many Thanks for Views in Advance.

Your daughters do require naturalisation (the process for a minor is actually called Registration but the end results is the same - British citizenship).

You need to apply using form MN1. The cost for two children is £810.

There is no difference if you apply for naturalisation first and then your daughters or you apply together. Same goes for the passports.

Many Thanks Jambo. I am planning to apply as a family application. As I can submit all the relevant docs all at the same time.

I find this forum quite useful. Many thanks for all your help guys.
