my wife had the same story, at the end she did get the card with long delay.any way you will not be able to get any medicines using this card, only ones with prescription from doctor.rashmipw12 wrote:My midwife issued the form which i filled and posted at the given address. After 6 weeks i am suppose to receive a prescription exemption card (looks like an i card) with my name endorsed on it which i can show to the pharmacist while buying any medicines during pregnancy.
Its over 10 weeks now and i have no clue where to call for a follow up. Any leads shall be appreciated.
Thank you very much for your reply John.John wrote:I don't understand. Who made the income support claim? My wife who is in dependant VISA claimed free prescription only once under income support.
Or is it the case that she was entitled to free prescriptions, for example because of pregnancy or having giving birth in the past 12 months?

She was not in pregnancy, when the pharmacy asked my wife whether you are employed. My wife replied, No, so the pharmacy did not charge the prescription charge I assume that they considered my wife as low income support seeker.
When I went asked pharmacist and they didn't have any record and they sent to PCT. It took 6 months for me to contact the right department and send the postal order and got the receipt.
Eventhou I paid back, I am not sure it will affect my ILR?
Thank you very much for your reply John. I got relax now.John wrote:The Pharmacist had no right to grant that exemption. It is not their decision at all. All they are required to do is to process the prescription free of charge if someone signs the declaration on the back of the prescription, and ticks the relevant box.
Applying for ILR? You do not have a problem here. Relax.

Indeed mentioning it might just complicate matters, and cause a totally unnecessary query in the mind of the person looking at the application.
