In Person surrender certifcate application

Post by rnr79 » Thu Aug 25, 2011 8:59 am

Just wondering..how long we have to spend at VFS office to surrender the passport? Is that just going there, paying the fees and handing over the passports and applications? I am just trying to see that if i go there early in the morning..and if the process at the VFS office is just 10-15 mins then i dont have to take a day off from work...

any comments / advice much appreciated thanks guys

The process is that you reach VFS, tell them what you are there for, based on which they give you a token (each category has a different token series). You wait for your token number to be called out, so if there is less of a queue in your category then you get to the counter early.
At the counter it takes about 10 mins. Submit app+passport+fees+supporting documents and you get a slip which has a tracking number used to track you application status online.

I went in the afternoon and I was in and out of there in 45 mins or so.
