Lost Passport and applying for citiznship

I am due to apply for Irish citizenship but i have my passport with 5 years residence stamp lost. please i need help and advice here. what can i do as i am so confused now. Thanks

you have to go to yours local garda station report about lost.than you have to visit your embassy they will issue you new one.than go to gnib get the stamp.make sure in future you please keep it safe place and have photocopies of your passport and gnib card always.you dont have to panic just take it easily .they have all the details in the system.alot of peoples lost their passport your not the first one.its not crime if you lost your passport.good luck for citizenship application

just to add, while at your local immigration officer, ask for a letter of reckonable residence. you can submit that letter as proof instead of your lost passport
