Hello everyone,
My wife and I are preparing for our Spouse Visa, we have done some research and read a few threads already but was hoping if we can confirm some details. We don’t want to miss anything out, but at the same time don’t want to include too much and put off the ECO (Assessor Officer).
We would be grateful for any advice people may have.
Background information:
I am a British Citizen (currently working and living in the UK), my wife is a Vietnamese Citizen with a Polish Permanent Residency Card (currently living and working in Poland).
I have been over to Poland 4 (including the wedding) and she had come over the UK 3 times on a Visit Visa. We got married in July in Poland. We are now preparing for the application.
1) Financial:
Q1a) I am current working 3 jobs and earning around £17000 (before Tax). I have an ISA saving of £15000 and I put £500 into my regular saving account every month (as a standing order from current account to saving account). Are my financial enough for the Spouse visa application and it will be a problem with me having 3 jobs?
Q1b) Should I include an Incoming and Outgoing expenses Sheet?
Q1c) I understand that I have to summit 3 months payslips and 6 months bank statements, do they all have to be original?
Q1d) I can get letter from each of my work place stating my working hours and annual income. Would I still need to summit my P60 as well (I didn’t earn that much last year)?
2) Marriage Certificate
Q2a) Our marriage certificate if in Vietnamese, I can get it translated into English by the official council translator with stamp and she can get it translated into English in Poland with an official stamp too. Is there any preference of where we should get our Marriage certificate translated or should we just include both?
Q2b) I know I need to include a copy of my Passport, do I need copy it form any specific place with official stamp on it and just a stand photocopy with will do?
3) Other Documents
Q3a) Do I need to include any bills?
Q3b) My manager can write a referent letter for me and my father can write a letter stating that he can stand out and support us both if we were in any finial difficulty in the future. Will these letters be any use or will it just be a waste of their time?
4) Accommodation:
Q4a) I am currently renting a 3 bed rooms house on my own, I have a Tenant Agreement and my landlord is happy to write me a reference. Does need any other prove of my accommodation, e.g. Housing Inspection Report for Immigration Purposes and if so where would I be able to get one of those?
5) Evident:
Q5a) We got various type of evident and were wondering which type is best to include with our application and how many:
Email (of when we were dating)
Photos (of we have meet, our engagement and wedding with our friends and family)
DVD of wedding
Mobile phone calls (I got print out online bill, could try to get an letter bill from the network too)
Skype call (screen print of our daily Skype call)?
Flight ticket/boarding passes.
Engagement and Wedding ring receipts?
6) Information on my Spouse:
Q6a) My Spouse has a BaHons Teaching English as a Foreign Language and a MA in Translating and Interpreting and Methodology (English) both at Polish university. Would she still need to take an English test?
Q6b) Does she need to take a medical test?
Q6c) Does she need to provide any financial evident (i.e. bank statement or saving)?
Q6d) Does she need any letter from her employer stating her annual wage?
Also if we have missed out anything else, please let us know. Again many thanks in advance for any help people can give.
