HSMP renewal procedure

Please correct me if I am wrong. HSMP is granted for one year which is then renewed for 3 years followed by citizenship/passport.

Issue # 1:
- I wanted to know when it is renewed after one year; Do I need to have a relevant job in my 'specialization field' <the 'specilization field' on which I was granted the visa. In my case IT industry>

Issue #2:
- If I intentend to call my spouse and kids from my home country after renewal of the visa after first year, what documents do I have to show?
- How much money do I have to show in my bank account?
- Any document that relates to my work experience

Similarly, after 3 years when the visa gets expired "Do I need to have a relevant job in my 'specialization field' " . As I have heard, this eases the visa process.

Please answer my queries as I am not able to get them answered from reliable sources

it is 4 years renewal now, as rules has changed recently. 1+ 4 makes you eligible for PR (ILR)

it is highly advisable, but only requirement is you have to be economically active, contributing to UK economy by way of taxes

browse through the HSMP forum in this website.... you will get lots of info.....if you are receiving salary regularly savings of 3-4k is more than suffice....
