PSW dependants

Can tier 1 psw holder bring his parents as dependants?

More precisely, yes. However, you will need to prove that they are DEPENDANT on you, beyond normal emotional ties. This would mean that they are unable to look after themselves, and no-one else could possibly look after them in their home country. So, in practice, it is very unlikely, but not impossible.

It is impossible!

Depedant(s) = children under 18 years of age, or your husband, wife, civil partner, unmarried partner or same-sex partner.

Ignore the poster above, the answer is still no.

The paragraphs for dependents of PBS (including Tier 1 PSW) are 319A to 319K. Only partners (civil, spouse & unmarried) and children are covered.

sponsoring dependents on PSW

hello guys,
not sure if this has been asked somewhere else i could not find anything on the forum so far. but i am looking for some information on whether i can sponsor dependent:

- a disabled 18yr, and
- my uncle and aunt both are over 60

i am their legal guardian and i am on PSW.

I know the thread above defines the dependents but i use the word for the lack of better one but do these people (to whom i am a legal guardian) only falls in dependent category?

They may be dependent on you but they are not your dependants as defined by the immigration rules and that is the only category of relative that you can sponsor to join you in the UK. I am re-posting the relevant information, already given above, about which category of relatives PSW migrants are permitted to bring to the UK.
