Referees for Form MN1 (Registration for British Citizenship)

Post by Viju Menon » Mon Sep 05, 2011 4:43 pm

Hello

We are applying for my daughters Registration for British Citizenship. She was born here in Aug 2008. we recently got our ILR. Now we are finding difficult to get referee for her who has professionally dealt with her such as doctor, teacher, health visitor, etc

Her pediatrician has declined as too much of personal details required in her form. She has hardly dealt with GP's being Premature baby (more with pediatrician and cardiologist). Recently she is not been seen by any Health visitors and the old ones are either retired or transfered. She will start her school this month so Teacher has hardly known her.

Who else can be her referee? I know some Doctor personally would his reference work? Please suggest me and share me your experiences.

Particularly in case of Infants and small children professional references are not that significant given the fact that they have not started interacting with professional people just yet. If you search on this forum you will find many success stories where people have written covering letter explaining why the references were not provided or some provided references where contact info and passport info has remark 'available on request' etc.

As far as the Doctor know you personally for more than 2 yrs it will work
Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is.
