rnr79 et al..

You all might know from another thread I hit bit of an issue with my interview; called interview helpline and they said someone will call back today with an update.... exact same thing thy said last fridat...

In the mean time I want to send an email asking for an status update like most of you here seem to be doing... I know all your interviews were succesful; just trying to see if i can sneak something out online ;)

chances are (very slim) that the guy confirmed my identity and OK'd the interview and updated the DOB in the nackground... if that's the case my PP should be in the printers now - I know unlikely, just want to get an update...

Pls let je know which link you guys click and what I need to fill when asking for an update... thnx

thats right i clearly told her ref number she dont wanted to listen me untill i provide the cover/poll no. first so thats the only operator here in glasgow council so it means i wont be able to speak with anybody else.

Hi, can somebody please advise: what if one of the spouse decide not to take british citizenship after receiving the approval. we have now a change of mind and one of us want to keep indian passport.

also, do you lose your ILR when you receive the approval for citizenship?

as far as i know you have to take oath within 3 month from approval date and if you dont take the oath then you will need to apply again for citizenship so it means one of you can keep their own citizenship. and i dont think that you will loose your current immigration status if you dont take oath. wiat for the expert to guide you.

Nazia88..may be there are different processes based on the Council as well as way of application...

I applied using NSC and when i received approval..the letter mentioned that i should call council to book ceremony within 3 weeks from the date of the letter and ceremony should be done within 3 months.. there was not mention of invitation letter...

But I think now if this is the process its bit of another waiting game...but at least now you know there is not a hide and seek game of decision/refusal..

I can say that passport process is lot easier and once you are Biritsh citizen there is less chance of not getting Passport....so you are almost done just red tape things cause delay

I just received my passport! YAY! Quite strange, I called the IPS this morning to find out if it had been picked up by the courier and they said it won't be delivered until tomorrow. Could be for security reasons..who knows..?! My journey ends here. Thanks everyone :D

Hi guys,
Nazia thanks for asking, no I haven't heard anything at all, today it is exactly 17 weeks
and still all is silent. This morning I was tempted to call but I didn't.
I try to be patient now. I wanted to go on a summer holiday. I didn't, because I had to wait for them. I wanted to then go on an autumn holiday, but still I couldn't. Lastly, there is a job sponsorship scheme which I'd very much like to apply for do where the application window closes very soon, this is not a trivial thing like a holiday, it's an opportunity for a new career, but no, I can't do it, because I have no papers at all, so I have to give up that as well.
I used to think of myself as an independent person, someone with motivation, who could always find a way around difficulty. Now I feel so demotivated by all this. So powerless.

Try to take it easy, mate. Its matter of weeks now, you've waited 17 weeks and a few more won't harm :)

I'm going to lose an opportunity to enter an industry which I've always wanted to enter, so yeah it could actually cost me big bucks.
But yeah waiting and waiting is the only thing to do. I just need to get it off my chest.
