JUST A QUESTION GUYS REGARDING GETTING THE PASSPORT AFTER NATURALIZATION,
SHOULD I AUTHENTICATE MY ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE FROM MY HOME COUNTRY EMBASSY HERE IN DUBLIN?
THERE NOTHING MENTIONED LIKE THAT IN THE PASSPORT OFFICE WEBSITE, BUT SOME POSTERS HERE SAID THAT THEY DID?
DOES ANYONE SUBMITT HIS APPLICATION WITHOUT AUTHENTICATING HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND GOT THE PASSPORT?
peace on you

Hi Every body!
Just to inform that my husband has got his CON today through a registered Post. We were in our EID Party and when came home there was reminder notice from An Post for our registered Post. So his wait is over. His Timeline:
Applied Citizenship: Nov,2006
Approval: 16th June, 2011
Oath Date: 15th July
Yellow form etc Sent:15th July
Acknowledgment: 12th Aug
CON: 30th Aug
So Tomorrow we are going to apply for his Passport, hopefully everything would be OK....

Hello,
I got my CON today.
Timeline:
Took Oath: 14/07/2011
CON Sent: 14/07/2011
Ackn Received: 08/08/2011

I am sending my PP application tomorrow. I appreciate if anyone could let me know whether I need to send my birth certificate in original as I don't have it in original with me. I have a scanned copy of the same. All other documents I have it in original. Will they ask me for the Original birth cert?

unfortunatelly only ORIGINAL Birth Certifiacte must be submitted! Otherwise they will return your applicaation and you will loose time on waiting. Check it here :

Congratulations for your CON. Yes they do ask for Original Long Form Birth Cert in all Cases, but if you have any Problem then you can ask them on their General Inquiry Number for any other alternative, which is on the Application Form, you can try Both numbers i-e Dublin or Cork numbers for General Inquiry.

Hi, can you please let me know when you applied for your son and when you received his approval. that will give me idea how long it is taking now a day to process minor application.
I am waiting for my kid as minor application from last 7 months for a decision.
