Tier 2 visa general ( not employed for 6 months yet)

Hi There,
I would appreciate your response on the below

I currently hold a PSW tier 1 Visa, completed masters degree ( PSW expiring feb 17th 2012 )

I am currently employed with a company as a Graphic designer @ 23,000 GBP annually.

My employer is willing to provide a COS to switch onto Tier 2 General
however, i will not be completing six months with them while making a tier 2 application in feb 2012

what are my options here. Is it a compulsion that i would need to supply 6 months worth of employment salary slips ?

If you have not worked for six months at the time of applying you will not qualify on the basis of PSW switch. In which case you will have to meet the general requirements (resident labour test, etc, etc.)

Switching from a post-study category

97.You can claim 30 points if you have a Certificate of Sponsorship and are switching from:
• Tier 1: Post Study category
And
• if you have worked for your sponsor for a continuous period of at least six months immediately before the date of your application. You must be applying to continue in the same job you are doing on the date of the application.
And
• if you are applying from inside the United Kingdom.

98.If you do not meet these requirements, you will need to claim points for sponsorship in another way, for example if your sponsor has completed a resident labour market test

Thank you for your feedback. This definitely gives me some hope here.

Although, i would like to ask, how does this work, i am aware what the market test is, but how does this test make up for the missing 30 points?

Is it worth sticking around and working further. I wonder what the success rate could be ..this being a graphic design profession
