naturalisation questrion

Can you apply directly for naturalisation or do you have to go through the ILR procedure first?

No naturalisation without settlement.

Normally through ILR but I think there is some category under which you could apply directly for Naturalisation like EU nationals.

EEA nationals (and their family members) are required to acquire PR (settlement) by exercising treaty rights in the UK for 5 years. Confirmation of PR may be applied for using EEA4 form.

thanks for your help guys..

Looks like we're going to have to go down the ILR route unless the goverment finally give in to BNO passport holders (Which I think they should of a long time ago!)
