FLR(M) and Bankers Draft

My wife has applied for FLR(M) and paid her application fee using bankers draft. After few days, of sending the application, she was sent a biometrics letter which she got enrolled at the post office.

Does that mean the payment (application fee) has been accepted (bankers draft)? As there is no way to check if the payment was successful, we are wondering if having biometrics done some how confirms the payment accepted?

I've applied for ILR on long residency basis and I too used the bankers draft. Also we both have received the separate acknowledgment letters in July but they do not contain any information about the payment whether or not it was successful.

A banker's draft is always accepted. It's not your money that is being drawn, it's the bank's. The entire point of using this method is to guarantee that payment will be made.

That question is a different issue. That relates to the possibility of the UKBA not accepting a bankers draft that is not in their name, rather than the bank not accepting a request for funds from the UKBA named on a bankers draft.

Thanks Lucapooka. The issue was what to put on the bankers draft, 'Home Office' or 'Home Office Leave to Remain'. I followed what the SET (O) form instructed and that was 'bankers drafts are payable to the Home Office' but further in the form it's written 'all the cheques and postal orders are payable to the Home Office Leave to remain'.
