Guidance relavent to Extension

Post by shrebhatt » Tue Sep 13, 2011 9:38 am

Hi Guys,

My husband is studying MIT and we have student Tier 4 VISA. That is going to expire within one month. I am his dependent and eligible to work full time.

We are going to apply for student extension in terms of finishing his study.

So can you please guide me, Prior to the Visa application, what types of documents I should show to my caompny to represent the further visa extension.

Your early help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks... :)

Is your employer asking for proof of your permission to work in the UK?

Thanks for the reply. But as a safe side , I want to show something to them. Because I am bit concern about ,if we give them application receipt (Probably before one week of visa expire) at the last moment ..I might loose my job.

Thanks for your further guide...

Shreya

Unless they are specifically requesting to see this information (because they are not aware of the rules that apply to people with outstanding applications) then leave it. If it isn't broke, don't try to fix it!

If they are pressing you for proof then you can ask them to contact the sponsors and employers helpline

Make a copy of your and your partner's visa/residence permit before you send the application.

Just want to clarify.. we haven't applied yet. We are expecting IELTS result after 15 days. So , we are going to apply in last week of Visa expiration.

So , in this case.. it will be last moment of visa application, So what should I explain employer that shows expecting further visa before they claim I haven't informed them about this...:) just to be safe side :)

Thanks.

If your employer asks you can say that the immigration rules allow the current status and conditions of your leave to continue while a new application is being processed and if he emails the UKBA (using the above link) they will confirm this to him.

But you seem to want to tell him before he asks (if, indeed, he intends to ask). I would suggest that you wait to be invited to provide evidence rather than running into his office with things that have not been (as yet) requested.

Is there any update that applicants under Tier 4 whose visa expires after Apr'12 will not get any extension thereafter.
