UK Visit Sponsor - Payslips

I need to sponsor my GF to come to the UK from indonesia on a visit visa, the problem is I have recently been declared bankrupt, My salary is paid into my bank account on a monthly basis and I easily have enough income to sponsor her, however if i submit my payslips the UKBA will know im bankrupt. Is it essential to submit pay slips? would a letter from my employer stating my employment status and salary be ok along with my bank statements showing my pay comming in?

One other question, If I was only inviting her to stay with me but not offering financial support, for food and entertainment etc, is there a guide as to how much money they would like her to have available for a one month stay? She will have a return ticket as well.
