Hi All,
I am applying for Tier-1 extension very soon and I would be thankful if you could answer some very basic questions I have.
1. Photograph requirement: Is it fine if I take a photograph from Tesco booth or do I need to go and take photographs from some specific location?
2. Maintenance requirements: I have been in UK since Feb 2009 and was out of UK for a week in last 13 months. I hope I can select "12 months and over" in K1 section for dependant application. Please confirm.
3. Home office says that they will send me a letter for Biometric scans shortly after clearing payment. Now my wife and me would be out of home (business travel) for a month or so after sending application. Is it fine if I ask my friend to keep check on letter box and let me know when letter arrives and then book the Biometrics appointment remotely? Or do I need to be at home to receive letter? Also can I book Biometric appointment just anywhere in UK or do I need to go to Croydon as I live in London?
4. We had our fingerprint scans taken at the time of making first TIER-1 application. Do we still need to go for Biometrics scan?
I almost know answers to all questions but I would be thankful if someone can confirm these.
Thanks a lot,
Nachiket

1. Photobooth pics are fine.
2. Not sure.
3. Letter for biometric can be recieved by anyone (as it comes in normal second class post) but u'll need the letter to be able to attend the appointment.
4. Biometrics need to be done again.

Thanks mate. Could someone also confirm about point two?
I am in a bit tricky situation as all my funds are in Easy Saver and idiot people from Lloyds TSB haven't sent me updated bank statements on Easy Saver yet (I did request twice to send updated statements). My minimum balance in Current account for last three months has been £2100 which is definitely more than £1333 (£800 for me and £533 for dependant). And I am 99.99% sure that going out of UK for Business and Vacation trips will not mean that you are not in UK for more than 12 months. Afterall I am applying with last 12 months earnings from UK itself and claiming for UK experience too. But I am just looking for some words which can give me confirmation.
Thanks a lot everytone.
Regards,
Nachiket

You can be out for 1 week and it doesnt make a difference..as long as you have £1333 untouched for 3 months thats it..
