My husband won his appeal on 4/4/2011, then received a call letter on the 25/05/2011,took his passport at uk in kenya embassy on the 27/05/2011. Please we have been waiting since until now. I have send them an email asking why it takes long cause its already 5months and it was wrote on the receit that he should get his passport back with a visa in 3 weeks after he handle it to them. The enswer i got from them was that they refer my husband’s case, is being checked into at the Home office referral department... Then a week later on the 16/08/2011,i wrote again asking if they have any news then was told again : Please note we are making further inquiries with regard to the application. Once we have completed our checks, the applicant will be notified. Please i have no idea wat is happening..

I'd recommend that you get your local MP involved if you haven't already done so. That often speeds things up.

No you don't have to pay for your MP's help. That's what they've been elected to serve on the government for.
On this website: http://www.writetothem.com/
Type in your postcode and it will give you the contact name and details of your local Member of Parliament. Your MP will hold regular 'surgeries' in your area where you can explain the problem and ask for their help. They are duty bound to do this. Make an appointment to discuss the problem and ask them to contact Home Office on your behalf.

We've had members reporting success once the MP gets involved! Let us know how you get on.

The mp contacted home office, and they reply saying that they can comfirm that his passport was passed on to the entry clearance officer in jun and currently are waiting on a background check n they can't give a timescale for the prossess to be completed. :( this is realy frustrating. Thx fr your help casa
