a little guidance needed

Post by mashhood » Sat Sep 17, 2011 8:10 am

hii all

i am mashhood from Pakistan 35 years old and my would be wife who is an English UK born a teacher by profession having her own home and bank balance, car, and government school teacher job.

we are planing to marry soon,i am a private school teacher, earning 50 pounds equivalent income per month and have no bank balance,no car and i live in my father owned home.

my question is will my having no bank balance and 50 pounds income,as this is common private teacher income in Pakistan, will be a problem for my visa?.my would be wife has good income and you can say she is rich and i am poor

second problem is i look so young than my age you can say 10 years younger than my age will that be a problem to get visa ,i have a passport and I.D card and all my documents that show that i am 35 years old but my look deceives..hahhhaa will this be a problem? i can have birth certificate from my school to attach with visa application form.

3rd problem is me and my would be wife is planing to get married here in Pakistan soon, so we will be meeting face to face first time ,
and the visa guide say they married legally and have met each other is this mean they have face to face marriage or it means that there must be a first some kind of face to face meeting then a marriage on next turn?,this is confusing me.

4rth problem is we are deciding a very few days stay of her here as she has school job so if she stay here for 3 days and we get married during these 3 days, is there any requirement of couples to stay together for a specified days together?or our 3 days plan is all OK,if they want more stay then we have to delay our marriage till December when she will have 3 weeks off from school.

i have red all forum and i know that we need email record and phone record, but is there must be letter to be delivered by postal service from her to me and from me to her ,is this a must thing?

she will come here and stay in my bro home with his family and other brother home we will arrange marriage is this OK or she must stay in a hotel so we give evidence of her stay in Pakistan?

new spousal visa rules will be implemented when??? and do you think i qualify for visa on above mentioned issues?

kindly reply
i wold be thankful
regards
mashhhood

Hi There, hope the below helps.

As long as she has a decent income and accomodation, then you're salary wil not matter, the ECO(immigration assessors) want to see that the person sponsoring, can support their spouse.

That wont be an issue.

Arranged marriages of this type are not uncommon in Pakistan or India, so that wont be a problem, key is to keep contact with your wife once you are married, and keeping record of this, ie phone bills, skype logs,Emails, texts etc

In my opinion this will be a problem, you ideally should be spending time with your partner after marriage, this is where the building blocks of a decent marriage take place, and the ECO looks at this time spent together as evidence of a legitimate marriage, thats not to say visa's havent been granted to those who spend little time with a spouse after marriage, but it could be a point for rejection. Having got married 6 months ago, so far i'd say the 3-4 weeks i spent with my wife after marriage, really built a great understanding and friendship!

Thats not a problem/issue at all, she can stay wherever she wants, they will just need to see copies of her entry and exit stamps from her passport.

Thanks
