Family visitor visa or tourist visa?

Hi

My fiance has recently arrived on a fiance visa and we have booked the wedding for the end of November this year.

His parents and his sister-in-law and 2 young nephews are planning to come to the wedding (his brother is not permitted to travel by his own country because he is in the military) so we need to make their applications ASAP, but should they all be applying for a family visitor visa or a tourist visa? They will only stay for about a week as the children will be missing school.

Also, is there any way they are able to make a fast track application as we only have 10 weeks to the wedding?!

Any other advice re what should be included with the application would also be appreciated.

Everyone can apply as a family visitor. Check the VAC for any fast track options.

VAT2.2 What is a family visitor?
Under the Immigration Appeals (Family Visitor) Regulations 2003, a family visitor is defined as someone who intends to visit someone who is related to them in the following way:

the applicant's spouse, father, mother, son, daughter, grandfather, grandmother, grandson, granddaughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, nephew, niece or first cousin (note: 'first cousin' means, in relation to a person, the son or daughter of his uncle or aunt);
the father, mother, brother or sister of the applicant's spouse;
the spouse of the applicant's son or daughter;
the applicant's stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother or stepsister; or
a person with whom the applicant has lived as a member of an unmarried couple for at least two of the three years before the day on which his application for entry clearance was made.
