I thought the same when I first saw this but it's been reported on other forums. It's always been a requirement to provide copies of everything the applicant is submitting, but recently, in some locations only , the VAC have been checking the original against the copy and retaining only the copy while handing back the original to the applicant. I know it seems absurd but it's actually true.
Quick question regarding Gerry's Visa service in Lahore Pakistan , My family (2 people) submitted their VAF1B Family Visit Visa applications at the Gerry's Visa Office in Lahore along with all documents etc originals including copies as stated specificly on the application guidance notes. There Applications were accepeted but all orignal supporting documentation was handed back and just the copies kept , apparantly they were doing this with all the applicants there.
When questioned by my family members they were told that it is okay and this is how they do the procedure and it's something they do everyday etc and to just go with the flow.
Is this right ............. ?
Is it because they have seen the originals that they don't need to send originals and only attach the copies? But then they are not the entry clearance officers..
As I am the sponsor i'm a little worried.
