Hello,
Im currently abroad for a vacation. My green card has been approved and sent August 5th, but it has been lost in the mail.
Im now in big trouble to go back in the US because I dont have any paper to prove that Im a resident.
I just filled an I90 form to replace it, but I read it can take up to 4months to have it back.
Am I stuck abroad until I receive it, or is there a way for me to enter the US anyway (tourist visa?, or go to the US ambassy and say that I lost my green card?)

When did you become a permanent resident? Do you have an I-551 stamp in your passport?

No the interview guy didnt put any stamp on my passport.
My green card has been approved on august 5th...

You need to provide more details, we can't read your mind. What is your current status in the US? What did you apply for? What was your interview for? What was approved?

Sorry I need to be more specific.
So I got married in March 2011 (I was under a J1 visa until June 12 2011), I did all the process to get citizenship (adjustement of status I485), I also filled a I131 because I was planning to go on holidays.

I received a temporary employement card in May.

After that i got my marriage interview end of July (they took back my employement card at the interview). They told me I was approved and sent my green card August 5th (they never gave me any paper showing that i got approved, i only checked the status online that said that the card was in production, then sent).
I left the country September 1st, thinking i was going to receive my green card (my roomate was supposed to send it to me in France).

After a little bit i got worried, I called USCIS, they investigated and told me the card was lost in the mail and that I had to fill an I90 to get a replacement one. I read that its gonna take about 4months to get a new one.

So now Im stuck abroad with no proof of my citizenship... And I have no clue about what to do.

Did you actually receive your advance parole (the travel document you applied for when you submitted form I131)?

By the way, you applied for permanent residence, not citizenship.

The only thing I received for USCIS is my temporary work card. But they took it from me

To be honest, I don't know what you should do - it's a very unusual situation. An AOS application is considered abandoned if you leave the US without advance parole before it is approved. Apparently, yours was approved, but you don't have any evidence for it. I suggest you post on the following forum, where you can probably find many more knowledgeable people (including some immigration attorneys):
