Family Visitor or General Visitor Visa

Dear Sir,

I Sachin Juyal, will be going to UK in January-2012 as a General Tier 4 Adult student, my visa is already sanctioned.

Sir, I would like to bring my wife with me to UK, earlier I had applied for her as a Dependent Visa, which got refused on the basis that my college is not Higher Education Institute and also my course is less then 12 months although more then 6 months.

Now sir, i would like my wife to apply on a Visitor visa.

What is confusing me is weather she should apply as a general visitor or a family visior, this is because my wife and i will be travelling together to UK and she will be staying with me in UK.
I had not arranged for accomodation , and will be doing soo when i will arrive UK together with my wife.

One more thing is can i show the finances in my account for supporting my wife to Uk, and how much finance in general is needed to show.
as regarding tier 4 dependent it is clearly given in website about finances, but i am confused regarding the visitor visa case.

It would need to be a family visit visa. The fact that there is nothing yet in place for her to visit may be a challenge.
