Time period after Denial

Hi,
Is there any period that someone has to wait after being denied a visa for the UK, before they can apply for another visa?

In this particular case the visa that was denied was a settlement visa but the visa that's been applied is a visitor visas.

You may make a fresh application on the same day you receive a refusal.
