Can I get PSW visa after my masters next year 2012 ?

Post by manuce » Sat Oct 08, 2011 3:08 pm

Hello,

My brother wants to come to UK and do his master is MBA HR.What I have heard is they have close the PSW visa.

I am not sure if he puts in so much money to study here and come in and then didn't get work visa in the end, which will result in all his investment will goto waste.

Can any one tell me if its possible for him to enroll in masters in uk university for SEPT2012 and after 1 year of study he can get a PSW visa which he can later convert to TIER1 (General) visa. Thanksalot.

I will be thankful for the reply.

Tier 1 (General) immigration category closed in April 2011.
Tier 1 (PSW) immigration category will close in April 2012.

No. If he really want to come to UK I suggest he get his qualifications in his country, Work for a while and look for a job in UK where the sponsor is willing to sponsor him. The noose has been tightened now. I heard that the govt is looking into preventing skilled immigrants from settling in UK in future.
In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on :)
