Can dependant of WP/HSMP and now on Tier1 Gen apply for ILR?

Post by Alps » Wed Oct 12, 2011 10:33 pm

Hi,

I entered in UK as a WP dependant. Then after a year my husband got HSMP, so my status was HSMP dependant. Then after couple of years i got my own Tier 1 general as a main applicant. In total i have been in UK for more than 6 years. And all this time i have been working in the UK as a software engineer. I want to apply for ILR independant of my husband. Am I eligible to apply for ILR now? I am getting different answers whenever i call Home office. so, i am a bit confused. Please, can somebody help?

Regards,
Alps

No.

You may qualify when you will have completed 5 years as a Tier 1 (General) migrant.
