CAN I STUDY IN THE UK(SPOUSE VISA)

I am on 2 Years Spouse Visa at the moment and will be applying for permanant residency in 1 a year time.

My questions are:

Can I study in the UK?

Do i have pay Home or Overseas student fees?

You can study if you like.

In your case, you will pay home fees despite being on a spouse visa if:

1) You are married to a UK/EU citizen
2) You have been living in the UK/EU for the three years immediately preceding your date of registration at the college
3) You have not been a full-time student in the UK/EU (i.e., you've been working) during that time

If you fail to pass any of these criteria, you will pay the higher overseas rate. If you wait until you have ILR, you might get away with paying the cheaper rate. Technically, you must also have been resident in the UK/EU for three years as well, but when registrars see that ILR stamp in the passport, they really don't tend to care about anything else.

Every scholl/collecge may vary for qualifying the home fee.
As far as I know, for qualifying the home fee, many college set up the criteria are
1. You must be a UK ILR holder or with any european passport
and
2. You need to live in the UK (or european country) for at least 3-year.

In some case, some UK passpor holders even have been asked to pay higher fee when they just moved back from other non-european countries.

i read some place that if the term starts say in october 2006 then your 3 years of residency should have been fullfilled in october 2006, likewise if it starts janaury 2007, then the criteria should be fullfilled by january 2007.
