my parents got 6 month visa.
can it be extended in uk, and for how long, what will be effect of this extension in future.

Visitors are only allowed a maximum of 6 months visa, You normally cant extend it any further ( only in exceptional circumstances like for medical reasons etc).

You have to leave the country and reapply from abroad. You can only spend 6 months in any 12 months period in UK
