Visa for my son

Post by XtotheZ » Sun Oct 23, 2011 6:01 pm

I just got my british citizenship/passport.
I have a wife and two daughters here in the UK who are all British citizens.
I also have a son from a previous marriage who lives in my country of origin (Nigeria). He has never been to the UK. I get along with my ex wife.
He is 8years old and I want to bring him to live with me permanently.
Is that possible? and how do I go about doing that?

If the child is living with his other parent, then you cannot sponsor your child (297(i)).

What if the mother gives permission for that to happen?

There would have to be serious and compelling circumstances and the mother giving permission is not.
