Please help me - moving to UK

I have been in USA for last 6 years and just now moved to India a week back. I was convicted of Domestic Violence misdemenour with no jail term and probation and i have another 9 months to complete it but as my visa expired I made a move to go back to my home country india. Now there would be an impending arrest warrant if i ever go back to USA.

My concern is - we are now planning to relocate to UK for a good life, and want to start my process to secure a visa to UK, with my wife being US citizen she would not need a visa. So can you please advice me if my conviction would cause any issue for me for my visa to UK. Please let me know if the prior domestic violence conviction would play any negative role in getting me a visa and what how best i can approach so I could secure a visa.

If you were not sentenced to a term of imprisonment then you should theoretically be fine. What makes you think that your wife can live in the UK because she is a US citizen? What type of visa would you consider applying for to live in the UK?

I really want some one to help me in deciding what is the best way to come ot London. Currently I have been working for world top 3 banks for last 3 years and hold a Masters degree in electrical and computers engineering. I am really not sure which can guarantee me a visa to UK so my stay can be smoother..please can you help me with differnt ways to start up. I was looking at some tier 1 visa where a person needs to qualify for 100 points...am just falling short but if i can show that my account balances were good exeeding 100k pounds then i stand a chance to cross 100.

Please advice...

Tier 1 (General) is closed. There are investment and entrepreneurial categories but these require 1M and 200K respectively. Tier 2 is also an option but you would need to find a sponsor that is unable to source you particular skill-set in the resident labour market.

Thanks again. Any other ways to find work visa. Also can you please let me know if you know of any company who can sponsor a person from india. your help and guidance is higly appreciated
