Is NICOP or Protector needed for Dependent ?

Is NICOP or Protector needed for Dependent ?

Hi,
Ofcourse I know that Protector needed for hsmp holder to show that he/she will work abroad but what about dependent as I don't know what type of visa they will get.

only main HSMP holder needs protector.

Protector is a requirement from Pakistan!!!

I am afraid its not a requirement coz i came to UK on HSMP this April without being asked about protector.
Protector is an official stamp particularly for the government employees in Pakistan and normaly for those laymen who go middle east on work permit. It shows that the holder is going abroad with permission and will return in due course. technically it is not relevent to HSMP.
Secondly this topic was discussed in this forum sometime back therefore after getting EC i did confirm from BHC whether i will need a protector to go to UK under HSMP reply was NO.

Yes Mrs Khan. Protector is not requirement from HSMP/EC point of view. Protector is mostly used in Middle east countries. It is a sticker issued by Govt of Pakistan. I knew HSMP EC holdrs who were refused to board in the plane with out protectors. Sometimes airport official don't bother about protector. People get protector in order to avoid any hassle at the airport.
