Hi,
I am planning to invite my mother as I am due to deliver my first baby in december.
I am currently on Tier 1 valid until next year and have a permanent job. I have my last 6 months payslips, bank statements with enough funds (around GBP 20k), rent agreement, employers letter to support her application.
My father died couple of years ago so my mother stays alone in India (my brother is staying abroad as well). She has 2 properties on her name -including our permanent house in India, regular monthly income in form of pension for her and my father (abt INR 40k each month), and sufficient funds in terms of savings in bank accounts, FDRs, LICs, etc. (about 9-10 lakhs)
She will be self sponsoring her stay/tickets and I'll be sponsoring her for accomodation and food. I have the following three queries:
1. Should I give the reason for her visit to provide me emotional support during pregnancy or should I just say a general family visit to see her daugther? can stating pregnany be one of the reason for refusal?
2. because she is retired and stays alone in india - I am planning to provide these reasons to support her return back to India - having properties to look after, need to get my brother married (even though he stays abroad) she stil has the responsibility to get him married and all her brothers/sisters/relatives stayin in India - will this be enough? (I dont think it is a good idea to falsely state that my brother stays with her in India)
3. If in the initial application we say she intends to stay for about 60-70 days but eventually ends up staying for almost 5 months, then will this be an issue?
Many thanks for your reply. I would be greatful if someone can respond quickly on these queries as reading too much stuff has totally left me confused and I would really like her to visit me at this emotional and most important phase of my life (having my first baby)
