Applying for spouse visa whilst on benefits?

Post by spicygumbo » Mon Sep 18, 2006 9:25 pm

I'm a British resident and claiming both DLA/Income Support.
The person that I intend to marry and bring to the UK, may be offered a full-time job (from a friend who runs a full-time business) once she arrives here.
Is it worth trying for a spouse visa when claiming benefits, or could I get my friend/potential employer to sponser her?
Thanks.
