Canadian in UK seeking Visa Help

Hi everyone,

I am a Canadian national living in London, UK and have done now for nearly 2 years. I am on the Youth Mobility Scheme visa currently however it expires at the end of February 2012.

I am currently employed full time in the city and want to stay here indefinitely as I love the city and have created a much-loved life here. I am hoping to get some help with regards to what I can do, with hopes of an extension or, other visas that I may switch into.

Help would be so appreciated as I am really worried about this.

I have a feeling this thread will be moved into a different category, but for your information you have to return to Canada to apply for a UK visa under a different category (as Youth Mobility can only be issued the one time). The UKBA recently closed Tier 1 (general) to new migrants from outside the UK (since Dec 23 2010) so I'm afraid you'll have to look for a different avenue in which to stay and remain.
